The Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act (AB 1000) was introduced in the California Assembly in February 2009.  The bill is currently on hold in the California Assembly, but the fight for paid sick days will continue in 2010.  It is not too late - show your support for AB 1000 to the California legislature NOW.  Let the legislators in Sacramento know that your union or organization supports Paid Sick Days for all California workers.
